Operations Executive (MStream Ltd.)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Operations Executive to oversee the operational aspects of our waste handling operations across multiple processing sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing weekly shipping requirements, coordinating logistics, and ensuring efficient and compliant waste transportation. This role involves a blend of on-site supervision and office-based administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations related to waste handling and shipping from various processing sites.
  • Assess and determine weekly shipping volumes for materials including PET, glass, aluminium and waste tyres.
  • Supervising other operations at waste management sites.
  • Coordinate and organize logistical tasks, including liaising with haulers, shipping agents, and local customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations and liaise with authorities as necessary.
  • Monitor and manage schedules for waste collection and shipment to ensure timely processing.
  • Oversee and schedule the personnel currently operating handling equipment on-site, and ensure that operations at various sites are running smoothly, depending on the exigencies of the various sites
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports on shipping and handling activities, including container tracking, weight of shipped goods, weight of goods received by suppliers, etc.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
  • Address any operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Drive to various waste processing sites and customer locations as required.
  • Assist in the compilation of tenders and quotes to prospective clients.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Preferable experience in logistics, shipping, or waste management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites.
  • Flexibility to work both in an office environment and on-site as needed.
  • Knowledge of local regulations related to waste handling and shipping is a plus.
  • Knowledge on health and safety
  • Ability to organise schedules for operational staff according to exigencies
  • Ability to speak and write in English

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to on-site inspections and waste handling.
  • Capability to drive and travel to various locations as part of job duties.
