Lead Industrial Technician

Main Purpose of Job

The Lead Industrial Technician will be responsible for managing electrical and technical faults particularly focusing on Electrical components.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Lead a team in diagnosing and ensuring adherence to manufacturer’s procedures and safety protocols.
  • Utilise expertise in reading schematics, electrical diagrams, and manufacturers’ manuals to diagnose faults and guide team members in effective troubleshooting.
  • Providing comprehensive verbal and written reports on their condition with a focus on safety.
  • Ensure meticulous compliance with company time recording procedures, overseeing correct and timely completion of job cards by team members.
  • Recording findings and promptly reporting any other faults or defects to management for further action.
  • Advise management on potential problems and safety hazards inherent in the industrial environment.
  • Lead by example in operating all equipment and power tools safely, while promoting and enforcing best practices for workplace safety.
  • Take the lead in performing preventive maintenance tasks as required to uphold operational efficiency.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all materials, parts, and consumables used during repair and maintenance activities.
  • Lead efforts to maintain good housekeeping practices, ensuring safe working conditions and full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Take responsibility for the safekeeping and organisation of all relevant documents, ensuring they are signed as per requirements and promptly sent to the designated department.
  • Uphold and enforce the Company’s Quality (ISO 9001), Environment (ISO 14001), and Health & Safety Management System procedures and policies, while ensuring legal obligations are met. Contribute to achieving company objectives and targets while prioritising customer satisfaction and minimising environmental impact.
  • Take on any other duties appropriate to the role of Lead Industrial Technician, as assigned by management.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing in English, to be able to
  • report adequately to superiors and to form good relations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, including the ability to respond to the needs of team members and provide them with assistance when and as required.
  • To be able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • To be always open and honest
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work with third parties.
  • To be in a possession of a valid driving licence as required by Transport Authority
  • To always have a flexible approach to work commitments
